DIRECTIONS TO SAYULITA FROM PUERTO VALLARTA

It's easy. Head north. Take a cab, rent a car or take the bus. Every cab in town or the airport will know how to get to Sayulita. It should cost you about $300 Pesos from the airport. You can also rent a car at the airport. The drive is scenic and takes about 45 mintues from the airport. From the rental car agencies, which are all along the main highway, head north. You will pass Nuevo Vallarta, Mezcales and Bucerias before heading up into the hills. Do not head towards Punta de Mita if you want to get to Sayulita in a timely manner. You can take the old 200 Highway from the edge of Punta de Mita (actually, it's right at the entrance to the Four Seasons), but it will take another 30 minutes because the road is very bumpy and slow. On the other side of the hill, you will see a sign for Sayulita. Here's where you really need to pay attention. In Mexico, if you put on your left blinker it means that the folks behind can pass on your left. So, rather than put on your blinker and turn left which invites disaster, pull over to the right, way until all the cars have passed you and cross the road. The town of Sayulita is about 3 kilometers down the road. You can't miss it. The Sayulita Lounge is on the Main Plaza. Drive safely! The bus and taxis will take you directly to the Main Plaza as well.
